BBDO Belgium – Agency Of the Year 2020 - is hiring an Account Director with strong leadership skills
Your role

  • You are responsible for your business unit
  • You are assertive, and great at guiding and managing your clients. You are the client’s business partner, sparring partner & daily contact
  • You manage, guard and delegate all briefings. You keep a helicopter view of all ongoing projects
  • You get the right people to the table, facilitate the processes and make sure everyone knows their role, to dos and deadlines
  • You have a will to act, but first to reflect on the strategy and the client’s business. Together with our strategic team you help lay the strategic foundation for the projects and campaigns. You are driven by “the big idea”, which has the right impact, is consumer driven and journey focussed
  • You have a nose for business, spot potential business opportunities, and increase business results
  • You follow the latest industry evolutions and are up to speed with the latest technology and trends
  • You have excellent commercial skills and are a born negotiator
  • You have strong communication & presentation skills that allow you to make a difference, both internally within the agency and externally with clients
  • You manage, advise, train and inspire your account team. You coach and support them, giving them clear, open, direct and honest feedback in a constructive way
  • You represent the company at various large events and are a real BBDO ambassador

Your profile

  • At least 5 years of experience as an Account Director (or similar in another communication function)
  • A thorough knowledge of all offline and online media
  • Critical thinker and problem solver
  • Strong leadership skills (leading by example) & people skills
  • A good sense of humour and able to put things into perspective
  • A positive spirit with heaps of energy
  • A hands-on & proactive mentality
  • Able to work under pressure and handle stress
  • An eye for detail
  • A team player. Someone who is “we”, not “me” oriented
